Can’t find what you need? Give us a call or send us a message.

Do I have to book?

We strongly recommend booking online before you set off, even in term time. If we have space we'll happily book you in at reception, but if we're full we can't let you in without a booking.

How long is a session?

Play sessions are 2 hours. Last entry is 3:30pm, and if you arrive after 3pm you can play right through to 5pm.

What if we're running late?

Don't worry, getting out the door with kids doesn't always go to plan. We allow 15 minutes either side of your booking. If you'll be later than that, give us a call, because on busy days we may need to move your slot.

Can I bring food and drink?

Only baby food. Everything else comes from our café, which also helps us keep the building nut-free.

Can I play with my child on the frames?

Of course. Grown-ups are welcome in the frames, but not in the ball pools or on slides, spinners or the zip line. That keeps everyone safe.

Is there a height or age limit?

Children up to age 11 and a maximum height of 145cm.

Can an older child look after a younger sibling?

Sorry, no. We're an adult-supervised centre, so a grown-up has to be with any child who needs help. Teenagers can't take on that role.

Do you take cash?

Yes, we take cash and all cards.

Are you nut-free?

We don't keep any nuts in the building and we don't allow outside food. We can't guarantee what's in someone's bag, but if we spot a nut product it goes straight to an outside bin.

I need to change my booking. Can I?

Email party@happytown.uk.com and we’ll move it for you.

Can we stay longer than 2 hours?

Two hours is usually plenty, but if you'd like to stay you can book another session, as long as we're not full.

Do babies go free?

Under 2s are £3.00 Monday to Friday and £4.00 at weekends and in school holidays. Babies under 18 months have their own Baby Area with soft shapes, low climbs and space to crawl.

Is there enough for older kids?

Yes. The Fun Factory is built for 4 to 11 year olds, with twisty tube slides, a giant wave slide and a tower to climb. There's also a netted football pitch.

Are you open on rainy days and in the school holidays?

Yes. We're indoors and open 7 days, with stage entertainment every weekend and school holiday. Holidays get busy, so book before you set off.

Can I get a refund?

Play bookings and party deposits aren't refundable, but they can be moved to another date if there's space. Email party@happytown.uk.com and we'll move it for you.

Do you take group bookings?

Yes, and group rates are available. We welcome childminders, nurseries, schools and clubs. Send a group enquiry from our Groups page with your date and numbers and we'll reply by email.

Can we hire Happy Town privately?

Yes. Happy Town is available for private hire on Monday to Friday evenings from 6pm to 8pm, for clubs, community groups, school classes and special events like Halloween and Christmas. You get the whole place to yourselves, and our entertainment team can run games with prizes on the stage. Get in touch to book.

Do you have lockers?

Yes. Please keep personal items with you or in a locker, as we can't accept liability for anything lost or stolen.

Is Happy Town accessible?

We're part of the Access Card scheme, and cards with a +1 or +2 symbol get an Essential Companion ticket. There's an accessible toilet and free parking on site. If you have any questions about access, call 07393 349219 before you come and we'll help you plan.

What if my child needs a quieter space?

Our Library & Quiet Zone is a calm corner with books and comfy seats for when someone needs a breather. Call us before you come and we'll help you plan your visit.

What's included in a party?

Your own party room for two hours, platters of hot food for the kids, dessert, unlimited jugs of juice, a party host and reserved tables for the grown-ups.

Do I pay a deposit?

You pay for the minimum of 8 children to secure your date. The rest can be paid on the day.

Can I pay in instalments?

Yes. Tell reception or email us how much you'd like to pay and we'll send a payment link. Everything needs to be paid by the day of the party.

What if fewer children turn up?

It happens, and we expect it. As long as you're over the minimum of 8, you only pay for the children who come. Book 18 and 12 arrive? You pay for 12.

Can I bring a birthday cake?

Absolutely. There's a table in your room to show it off and we'll give you a knife to cut it. Other snacks and sweets can't be brought in, but the café has plenty.

What about food allergies?

We check with every parent on arrival. Our chef makes allergy meals separately, serves them apart from the platters and labels them clearly. Call us if you'd like to talk it through.

Can I decorate the room?

Yes. Bring tablecloths, themed plates and as many balloons as you like. We just can't allow banners stuck or pinned to the walls. Your room is ready 15 minutes before you arrive.

Are party bags included?

They're not included, but you're welcome to bring your own. You can also add extras like candyfloss, balloon trees and Curious Candy bags when you book.

Is there food for the grown-ups?

Yes. Add a tea, coffee and biscuits package or a hot food platter, or run a tab at the café and settle up at the end.

Can I bring my own entertainer?

Unfortunately our insurance doesn't cover outside entertainers, face painters or costume characters.

Can I change my party after booking?

Yes. Log in to your account online to update numbers, add extras, build your guest list, email invitations and note dietary needs.

What if babies are coming to the party?

Parties are for a minimum of 8 full-price children, and we can add under 2s at a special price so they're catered for too. If they're just coming to play, book them a play session so we're sure to have space.

Can brothers and sisters come along to play?

Of course. Book them a play session too, as we can't guarantee entry if we're full.

Can we stay on after the party?

We'll usually need your room for the next party, so please stick to your 2 hours. If you'd like to keep playing, book a play session for straight after your party.

How many children can I invite?

Between 8 and 40 children. You pay for the minimum of 8 to secure your date, then only for the children who come.

When can I have a party?

Parties run Monday to Friday at £13.95 per child and at weekends at £15.95. Dates are released in batches for the months ahead, so if you can't see yours, send us a party enquiry and we'll get back to you.
